Bad Karma
On lead guitar is Ryan Cassidy. Ryan has been a performing guitarist and music teacher for many years. At the age of 17 he started playing the local clubs and bars on Long Island, writing songs and playing his favorite covers with his first band Axis. At the age of 21, Ryan then moved to Dallas, which gave him the opportunity to give his music career a fresh new start. He quickly formed 3rd Degree, a blues/rock cover band that also played a few originals. Ryan has also played with Delta Rage and both of his bands have played extensively all around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Ryan’s fiery guitar style incorporates all of his major influences, but his style and technique are all his own. His passion for his music is obvious when you see and hear him perform and his captivating stage presence and high-energy live performances are intense and entertaining.

On bass guitar and vocals is Mike Freed. Mike has played with many local bands in DFW but most notably he has played with Mantis, Deja Vu, Contagious, Krave and Red Leather. As a bassist he keeps it simple and to the point, in keeping with the ‘song first’ approach of the band, but he has his own unique flair that makes him stand out on a stage. A lover of all kinds of music Mike brings a punch to the rhythm section that lends itself to old classic rock but with a new alternative sound.

On guitar and vocals is Chance Munsterman. Since 1992 Chance has been writing and playing original music as well as playing all around the club scene in Dallas/Fort Worth. Originally from El Paso, he moved here in 1995 and soon after that formed Last Call with Tony “T-Bone” Stearns of Cotton Hill fame. In November of 1999, Strange Brew was the first band that Chance had an opportunity to play rhythm guitar for, but after their breakup up in early 2002 the acoustic guitar made its reappearance with Bad Karma, and has since formed CNG with Greg Luce and AcousticKarma with Ryan Cassidy of Delta Rage. Singing is his primary role, but he brings a unique, somewhat unfinished approach to the guitar giving the band a fresh perspective to the two-guitar formula. His first CD, “Walls of Life” continues to bring success with local and Internet sales, but in 2011 Chance released the first of two EP’s called “Space Cadet Glow” and it’s already seeing great success with online sales and radio play on satellite and on the Internet.
On drums, percussion, and vocals is Terry Sims. Terry has been performing in bands for years and has played with Hammer Witch, Solinger, Stress, Deja Vu, Contagious, EKG, Staggercrawl and most recently Saints of Los Angeles (Motley Crue Tribute). Terry and Mike have played together in bands and their familiarity with each other make the rhythm section for Bad Karma complete. Terry is an avid student when it comes to drums. Always learning and always adding new hardware including adding to his collection of African drums. Terry never lets perfection escape him. His driving force keeps the band not only in tempo but he provides a fresh and thorough range of musical rhythm with classic “in your face” perspective to the drums.
